About Sublime Silver

Hi! My name is Shannon - thank you for visiting Sublime Silver. Every piece of jewelry you see here is lovingly handmade by me. My love for jewelry started when I was a little girl. I would look through my mom's jewelry box with wonder - each piece had a story. Growing up my dad would travel to the Southwest and Mexico and bring me back Silver and turquoise rings and bracelets, those gifts and memories of rummaging through my moms jewelry are what started my love for handmade sterling silver jewelry. I’ve wanted to learn how to silversmith for as long as I can remember. I couldn’t find any classes offered locally, so in January of 2018 I started purchasing tools and supplies with every extra penny I had - I read every book I could get my hands on & I watched every video I could find. Finally when I thought I was ready I decided to jump in, and haven’t looked back since. I am completely self-taught and spend every free minute I have creating beautiful silver jewelry out of my little home studio. I choose each stone as if I were going to wear it myself and work with some of the best lapidary artists in the country. 

I have always been creative, just in different mediums. In April of 2019, I left my office job to work with silver & gold full time. After years and years of searching for more meaningful work, I feel that I’ve finally found my true purpose. I love working with metal and stones, with turquoise being my favorite stone to use. I love all gemstones, and really enjoy shaking things up by mixing metals and stones you wouldn’t normally see together. Most of the work I do these days are custom pieces, but I do my best to create pieces to add to my shop when I can. If you see something on my page that speaks to you, just shoot me a message, because even if it’s spoken for, chances are, I can create something similar.  I have an amazing collection of turquoise and other gemstones in my arsenal, and would love the opportunity to work with any of you on a custom piece. I have curated an impressive collection of high-grade American turquoise, in all shapes and sizes, and I look forward to any opportunity to show them off.

Every piece of jewelry in my shop is hand crafted with basic silversmithing tools and is created and designed as a one of a kind piece of art. All jewelry is original. I list new pieces of handmade jewelry several times a week. I also consider custom work. Inquires are always welcome.
